
Hull City announce the extension of goalkeeper Shea Callister's contract. Initially joining the club's academy on a short-term deal in October 2024, Callister has impressed during his tenure, leading to this well-deserved extension.
Callister's journey to professional football is both unique and inspiring. Originally starting his career as a midfielder and forward, he transitioned to the goalkeeper position at a young age. His early training included stints with Tranmere Rovers, Liverpool, and Blackburn Rovers. After spending four seasons with Blackburn, he had spells at Burnley, Herald Juniors, and Morecambe, before securing a scholarship at Salford City. During his time at Salford, Callister became the second youngest player for 1874 Northwich, keeping a clean sheet on his debut against Glossop. He also featured for non-league clubs Burscough and Clitheroe, and had trials with Blackpool, Bury FC, and Wigan Athletic.
